ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A COUNSELLOR?

Hi, I am Sam Otero, PhD, and I run Harbour Therapy.

It can be daunting trying to find the right counsellor or therapist, but I am here to help you get started on your journey. I can assess your needs, see how we might work together, and help you make sense of what is happening in your life, perhaps find a path forward, perhaps look back and heal. Whatever you are carrying, I accept you as you are and keep everything confidential.

I am a practising Christian and  integrate faith and spirituality in my practice. I work with clients from all faiths and none, in-person (BN41) or online.

Sessions last one hour and are typically weekly, £70, limited concessions available, please enquire.

Please contact me today to see how we could work together.

About me and my therapy practice

Sam Otero: BSc(Hons), MRes, PhD Psychology. Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.

You may have heard that "change starts with you," but where do you begin? I have the skills and experience to listen carefully and notice what matters most. I trust that you have the resources within you and can help draw out hidden treasure. There is no pain too deep or problem too big that we cannot look at together. I provide a caring, nurturing space for you to be fully yourself, even if you don't know what that looks like, yet.

My background is in psychological research with a focus on memory and neuropsychology. I bring this into my work with considerations of how the past influences the present, and how our brains are uniquely and individually wired. I use person-centred counselling with skills in re-connecting body and mind to discover the wisdom of your whole being. I have been a Christian most of my life, and worked in mission and ministry at home and abroad spanning two decades, alongside my academic and professional work.

Practice description

I work online via Zoom or similar, I also work in person at offices in the Brighton and Hove area (free parking, bus route 1). I use person-centred philosophy to tailor your counselling to you. That includes the length and duration of sessions, location, content and style.
